Mimesis House is a place that represent relationship between the real and the fake / nature and manmade. This would be understood as a process, ‘Being Landscape’. It is through ‘Being Landscape’ that the place tries to mirror itself to the artificial nature or natural artificiality. When the solid concrete is floated by artificial landscape which is conceptualized through the mountainous circumstance, it reveals that nature and manmade are not different and they just exist as a unity.

Site is located in a rural area with beautiful landscape where the lower edge of Mt. Dasul and its water reservoir meet. Long time ago, the site was a propitious place according to traditional topographical theory. We come to concentrate in the issue. Prior to the design, the placeness of the site and initial concept was summarized as the words, ‘Being Landscape’.
